Xu Mingtang is the Zhong Yuan Qigong Master and lineage holder. He comes from an ancient shaman and kungfu family closely associated with the Shaolin Temple in China.
Many people believe that Wushu, Tai Chi and many forms of Qigong originated in this temple. About two thousand years ago, the systems of Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism began to interact and merge. It is known that about one and a half thousand years ago, the famous Buddhist monk Bodhidharma came to Shaolin, and by merging Buddhist meditations and local qigong practices, gave rise to the Chan meditation system, which later spread throughout the world, also known as Zen. Since Zhong Yuan Qigong has been practiced in this area for a very long time, all these systems have also adopted elements of Zhong Yuan Qigong practice.
However, Zhong Yuan Qigong, known in China as Zhong Yuan Chan, has remained free of religious influence despite its ancient origins and it can rather be classified as a scientific approach. The Zhong Yuan Qigong system is designed so that you have the opportunity to receive everything as a result of your own practice. And what you achieved will be the result of your efforts and perseverance.
This is why we invite you to attend this year's retreat in Riga and learn in depth the Zhong Yuan Qigong practice and the deep and ancient knowledge of this school!
Every year, an important event for Zhong Yuan Qigong practitioners is Master Xu Mingtang's retreat in the school's birth place - Shaolin, China. This year, Master Xu Mingtang's visit to Riga will last an unprecedented 12 days. You have the opportunity to get an experience equivalent to going to China, while saving a lot of money and time.
